For more information, visit www.nequette.com.About The PositionThe Architect–Project Manager should be a driven, determined, and disciplined leader to run fast-paced, high-quality project delivery on multiple large-scale, complex projects. The applicant should have a high level of technical expertise and be adept at problem solving. This position requires project planning, staffing organization, as well as a dedication to junior staff development. A familiarity with and adherence to project planning processes and comfort with delegation and follow through are imperative. Applicants need to be comfortable making quick decisions, showing good judgement, and being an ambassador for the company.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of projects with minimal supervisionUnderstand and communicate critical level of coordination and issues to ensure efficient/cost-effective execution while understanding potential riskPerform quality checks on drawingsUnderstand and participate in the “front-end” of client communicationEstimate project cost and provide oversight from conception to completionHandle multiple, varied activities at one timePrepare strategic plans for project success and general understanding of office profitability goalsFollow through to make sure all schedules and timelines are metDevelop and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externallyWork at a fast pace without compromising qualitySupervise, delegate, and communicate with team on expectations, and ensure policies and procedures are followedAttend site visits and meetings during project construction, with the ability to capture detail minutes and advise of any critical changes or concerns that may ariseRequirementsMust have drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving resultsProficient understanding of construction drawings and detailing of various size projectsUnderstanding of how engineering trades, consultants, budgets, entitlements, and schedules impact architectural designsRequires a specialized technical problem solving and ingenuity while using firm’s systems and technologyStrong communication skills both written and verbalMust be able to communicate effectively through conflict and difficult conversationsAbility to work in a team environmentMust be flexible to changesAbility to effectively lead and inspire a teamStrict adherence to deadlinesStrong attention to detail and organizationWork experience in multi-family, mixed-use, and residential fieldsCan give and receive constructive feedbackStrong multi-tasking abilitiesStrong work ethic and a drive to exceed client expectationsTravel requiredQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program8+ years of experience in Architectural fieldLicensed ArchitectProficient in AutoCADProficient in Microsoft office suiteCore Values & CultureNequette is rooted in our commitment to community – the clients we design for, the people who live in and enjoy the spaces we create, and, most importantly, our team members we work alongside every day.
