The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving and scaling manufacturing processes for advanced ceramic components while supporting daily production and new product introduction. This role works cross‐functionally with operations, quality, and engineering to deliver high‐quality aerospace products in a fast‐growing, regulated environment. Description The position will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce defects, and shorten cycle times Providing hands‐on engineering support to production by troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions Collaborating with quality teams to ensure compliance with QMS, customer specifications, and aerospace standards Leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other efficiency methodologies Specifying, evaluating, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and tooling for performance and safety Creating and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, process flows, and technical documentation Supporting new product introductions and process scale‐up in collaboration with R&D and production Ensuring adherence to safety standards, including hazardous material handling and risk assessments Profile The successful candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Ceramics, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience 3+ years of hands‐on experience in ceramics, composites, injection molding, or similar manufacturing environments Experience solving manufacturing quality issues in high‐throughput production settings Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, or AutoCAD Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and DOE methodologies Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‐functionally Ability to work on the manufacturing floor and in an office environment Experience with aerospace standards such as AS9100 or NADCAP preferred Job Offer The candidate will receive: Competitive salary and potential for salary growth Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and vacation/sick leave Opportunities for professional development and career advancement A positive work environment that values collaboration and innovation Work-life balance and flexible scheduling options Access to cutting-edge technologies and resources Engaging and challenging projects that foster skill development Supportive and inclusive company culture Networking opportunities within the industry Potential for performance-based bonuses or incentives.
