Parent Experience Speclst Nex

The Parent Experience Specialist is an integral part of the family-centered care (FCC) program within the Family Services Department. Works closely with the manager of the FCC program on initiatives to enhance family health care experiences. Serves as a team member on multidisciplinary hospital and quality and safety committees representing parent perspective. Coordinates parent-to-parent support programs and trains parent volunteers. In conjunction with the FCC Program Manager and parent advisors creates, maintains, and presents Family Faculty curriculum to staff. Collaborates with manager and Parents as Partners Coordinator to maintain program mission, vision and goals. Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in the human services profession preferred; health care setting preferred.Must have interacted through multiple levels and departments of the health care system with their child to provide a patient and family perspective on organizational processes.Ability to read and write English required.Should have basic computer knowledge in office use (ex. word processing, email, etc).Ability to speak in public.Cook Children's is an EOE/AA - Minority/Females/Disability/Vet
