Production Scheduler

Summary/Objective: The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring efficient manufacturing operations by aligning production workload with available capacity, resolving discrepancies in sales orders, supporting inventory control, and expediting orders to meet customer delivery expectations. All work is to be completed in a professional manner consistent with the Mission Statement, along with our Policy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: The Production Scheduler is responsible for issuing, tracking, and expediting work orders; prioritizing tasks across resources; ensuring timely material supply to the production floor; and coordinating with manufacturing supervision to meet customer service goals. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: · Performs all aspects of the job in safe manner and promotes safety in accordance with Company safety policies and programs. · Plan and manage production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of customer orders · Analyze sales order releases for capacity planning and material requirements · Notify Sales of potential or actual late deliveries due to manufacturing issues, providing revised delivery dates · Coordinate and expedite current month’s orders with manufacturing · Interface with manufacturing personnel to resolve production planning issues · Perform additional duties as requested, directed, or assigned · Provide lead times for new sales request · Responsible for total inventory management, which includes products, raw materials and components Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct reports. Education and/or Experience: · Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field. · 5+ years of experience preferred, not required. · APICS certification preferred, not required. Language Skills: · Clear verbal communication - Ability to effectively communicate with manufacturing teams, sales, and supervisors to coordinate schedules and resolve issues. · Professional written communication - Skilled in drafting emails, reports, and documentation related to production planning and order status. · Active listening - Capable of understanding concerns and feedback from various departments to adjust schedules accordingly. · Technical vocabulary - Familiarity with manufacturing terminology, inventory systems, and ERP-related language. · Customer service tone - Able to communicate delays or changes to sales and customer-facing teams in a respectful and solution-oriented manner.
