Rancho Cordova CA onsite12 months contractAI Software Contract Sales LeaderPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced sales leader with a strong background in manufacturing, industrial technology, or automation software sales to drive early customer adoption for an innovative computer vision AI platform. This role is ideal for a highly connected professional who understands plant operations and can engage quality, manufacturing, and operations leaders to deliver impactful AI-driven solutions.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling complex software solutions into industrial environments and successfully closing pilot programs and enterprise deployments.Key ResponsibilitiesLeverage existing industry relationships to generate new business opportunities within manufacturing and industrial sectors, particularly automotive environmentsDrive sales of paid pilot programs and initial product deployments for edge-based and cloud AI solutionsIdentify operational challenges and translate them into high-value AI use cases, including:Visual inspection automationDefect detectionProcess optimizationManufacturing quality improvementDevelop and manage a sales pipeline from prospecting through contract closureCollaborate with internal teams to refine go-to-market strategies and messaging based on customer insights and market feedbackBuild trusted relationships with plant managers, manufacturing engineers, operations leaders, and quality teamsOperate independently in a fast-paced startup or early-stage business environmentRequired Qualifications10+ years of experience selling software solutions into manufacturing, industrial, or automation environmentsDemonstrated success closing complex, consultative, solution-based sales engagementsStrong network and relationships within manufacturing operations, quality assurance, or plant leadership teamsExperience managing the full sales lifecycle, including lead generation, presentations, negotiations, and closingExcellent communication, relationship-building, and customer engagement skillsSelf-driven and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience selling AI, computer vision, machine vision, industrial IoT, or smart factory solutionsKnowledge of manufacturing operations, production processes, and quality control systemsFamiliarity with edge computing, cloud platforms, or industrial automation technologiesExperience working with automotive or industrial manufacturing clients
