Job DescriptionJob Title: Quality MRB/EPC ControllerReports To: Quality ManagerFLSA Status: Hourly / Non-ExemptSchedule: Monday through Friday (7:00AM–3:00PM); overtime as neededGeneral DescriptionThe Quality MRB/EPC Controller supports high‑volume automotive manufacturing by overseeing daily shipping needs by working directly with Shipping & Production Control to ensure customer expectations are being met. This position also includes inspection of Nonconforming/Suspect parts and tracking metrics related to departmental needs.TraitsSelf-motivatedCustomer FocusedDetailed oriented and organizedProvide motivation and maintain morale for the EPC groupTeam orientedLead with ethics, integrity, and equalityAble to make consistent, rational decisions driven by dataExperienceLean methodsBasic blueprint reading/interpretationProblem solving techniques and skillsDemonstrates leadership qualities in directing fellow Team membersElevated PLEX knowledge with focus on Inventory ControlElevated understanding of Microsoft office applicationsUnderstanding and use of inspection equipmentResponsibilities/Expectations Working with Production Controls and Shipping department for product flow through EPC areaInspection of parts that require EPC / SortWorking with QC Manager on scheduling for overtime and personnel, as neededDaily direction of other EPC auditors on priorities and expectationsTracking and traceability of all parts that are placed in the QC Hold areaArea layout and product stagingDaily reporting of findings from EPC/Sorting to Departmental Management Team membersThis will include repeat MRB non-conformances and NG parts discovered during daily EPC final inspection processes.Weekly metric tracking of internal sorting time and efficienciesReport and maintain RMA inventory to Quality ManagementEnsure that MRB & EPC tracking logs are being properly maintainedPhysical RequirementsBending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving itemsResponding to public address system announcementsWalking and standingAbility to lift fifty (50) pounds or moreAble to operate forklift safely and efficientlyEnvironmental Job RequirementsDue to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the shop, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surfaceThe shop environment can be dusty and noisyDoors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changesFloors around work area may become slippery during wet weather conditions, or liquids such as coolants and oils from the machineryMay have to handle parts with sharp edgesPassing forklifts emit gas fumesTools, supplies, and related materials may contain hazardous materialsMay have to occasionally work outdoors where temperatures and climate can fluctuatePersonal Protection EquipmentThe wearing of Safety Glasses when working on the shop floor.Management has the right to add or change these duties of the position at any time.
