When you join us you'll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridges and other transportation structure designs. You will serve in a technical role and/or task lead on bridge design projects and perform complex structural analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects on local and national projects. We'll look for your knowledge and experience in analysis as well as the development of design, plan preparation, specifications, and reports. Inspection may be required on occasion.#LI-LM1236Here's what you'll needBachelor of Science in Civil/Structural EngineeringRelevant previous professional experience in bridge design and inspection, preferably 6-10 yearsRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) in IA or ability to obtain within 6 monthsSolid understanding of standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable Codes.Ability to produce design documentation/calculationsProficiency in bridge design software, such as LEAP Concrete/Bridge, AASHTOWare BrR, Larsa 4D, MIDAS Civil, and/or MDXWorking knowledge of CAD systems, specifically Bentley MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer or Bentley OpenBridge Modeler.A thorough understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures.Ideally you'll also have:Master of Science in Civil/Structural EngineeringDemonstrated experience on various types of bridges, including both concrete and structural steel bridge typesExperience in both new bridge design as well as inspection, maintenance, and repairExperience working on IA DOT projectsDemonstrated work in IL, MN, MO, and WIActive involvement in local engineering societies.Posted Salary Range: Minimum95,000.00Posted Salary Range: Upper125,000.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
