Summary: The Application Engineer is responsible for inside sales support for customers and salesmen, order entry, order acknowledgements, project submittals, deliveries, pump quotes and technical support. Functions and Responsibilities: Manage complex, discrete and/or sensitive projects to ensure smooth delivery to the internal or external customer Write quotes to customers Complete project assignments, as directed, within allotted time frames Receive customer phone and email inquires Provide general support to outside sales team Communicate with the Accounting team to resolve issues regarding invoicing, deliveries, and shipping Any other relevant job duties that may be assigned Education and Experience: Minimum Associates or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and or prior experience in the pump industry. Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps and air compressors) is a plus Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Solid computer skills including proficiency with CAD, spreadsheet and database applications Must possess the ability to think and solve problems with creative understanding. Must have a good eye for detail and be able to suggest process/specification modifications as required Ability to organize and prioritize jobs Excellent written and oral communication skills Specification and mechanical drawing interpretation Must understand pumps, air compressors and related processes Strong organizational abilities and project management skills The ability to work cooperatively with peers to achieve organizational goals High degree of independence, self-motivation and self-direction, especially with regard to identifying and managing high priority projects, in a fast-paced environment Physical and Environmental Requirements: Sitting (Working at a desk) - up to 80% Standing – up to 30% Walking - up to 30% Lifting - up to 25 lbs. with good body mechanics (lifting devices are used for heavier loads) Moderate deviations of the wrists #traskdecrow #LI-NP1 #FCG-L
