Summary:We are seeking a Full-Time Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching elementary school students, be able to create engaging lesson plans, and have excellent communication skills.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in educationValid Ohio teaching license or certificate for the teaching assignment.Meets highly qualified standards as defined by the State of Ohio.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesDemonstrates reliability, timeliness and good attendance.Possesses knowledge of Ohio's Learning Standards and instructional best practices.Ability to integrate technology effectively intro instruction and assessment.Demonstrates and supports Washington Local School District's Portrait of a PantherCompetencies: Empathy, Communication, Adaptability, Critical Thinking, Integrity and Learner's MindsetEssential FunctionsGuide the learning process toward the achievement of the Ohio Learning Standards established forthe subject and grade level assigned to the educator.Establish and communicate clear learning objectives for lessons, units, and courses ensuringalignment with state and local goals.Implement a variety of instructional strategies to address the individual learning styles, needs,interests and abilities of all students.Assess student progress through a variety formative and summative assessments. Use assessmentdata to determine progress of students toward achieving learning goals.Modify and adjust instruction as needed to maximize achievement for all students, including thosewith individual Education Programs (IEP's). WEP's, ELL, and 504 Plans.Seek the assistance of and collaborate with district specialists, such as special education staff,counselors, the social worker, psychologists, and others, to meet the needs of students.Create a classroom climate that is conducive to learning and encourages student engagement.Maintain a safe and secure environment that embodies trust, mutual respect and communityresponsiveness.Develop reasonable rules for classroom behavior.
