Job DescriptionThe Procurement Specialist - Vaux manages procurement and financial operations for prototype, pre-production, and early production programs with moderate autonomy. This position supports New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives by partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure accurate purchasing execution, BOM integrity, supplier coordination, and production readiness.ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end purchasing activities for prototype, development, and pre-production materials, including supplier identification, evaluation, and selection.Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantities, specifications, and supporting documentation.Develop and distribute RFQs and RFPs, collect supplier responses, and evaluate proposals based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.Collaborate with suppliers to confirm order requirements, negotiate terms as needed, track shipments, and resolve discrepancies.Support supplier sourcing and onboarding by gathering required documentation and approvals.Address routine pricing issues, delivery delays, and material shortages, escalating complex cases to leadership.Source prototype and pre-production materials to support engineering builds, testing, and validation efforts.Partner cross-functionally to support NPI milestones and readiness activities.Administer BOM updates, ECOs, and material transitions into early production.Maintain pricing accuracy through engineering changes, supplier updates, and contract or quote revisions.Assist with BOM cost roll-ups, cost tracking, and supplier cost analysis in collaboration with Finance.Validate supplier invoices and support timely vendor payment processing.Manage procure-to-pay workflows using PairSoft and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, ensuring proper routing, approvals, and documentation.Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready procurement records in compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.Other duties and projects, as assigned.RequirementsEducation:* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field, preferred.Experience:* Prior experience in manufacturing, procurement, or supply chain role(s).Computer Skills:* Experience with procure-to-pay systems, preferably PairSoft and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.Additional Requirements:Working knowledge of BOM structures, ECOs, and NPI processes.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Other DetailsWork Hours:* Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.Travel Requirements:* Occasional (25%-50%)Compensation:* This is a salary position paid biweekly.About UsArcBest Technologies, ArcBest's tech and innovation team, provides custom-built solutions and leading-edge technologies that help our customers successfully navigate the complex supply chain landscape.
