Special Education Ed Tech III - Resource Room

Ed Tech III Resource Room We have an opening for an Ed Tech III to work with staff and students in our grades 3-4 Resource Program. A successful candidate will be able to closely collaborate with team members to provide small group instruction in the areas of academics and executive functioning, support students in the regular and special education settings in small groups or 1:1, implement students' IEPs, and support students' unique needs as appropriate.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with team members to support implementation of student IEPsCollect academic and functional dataSupport assigned students in general and/or special education settings, including the regular classroom, the self-contained classroom, and therapy classroomsSupport students on the playground, at recess, during lunch, while riding the bus, and during other nonacademic timesAssist students with activities of daily livingQualifications/Skills:Excellent communication skillsWillingness to seek nontraditional solutions to issues as they ariseAbility to build positive relationships with studentsAbility to proactively manage student behaviorsPhysical Ability, including but not limited to: Standing for extended periods of time, Walking, Sitting, Kneeling, Bending and Reaching outward Ability to lift up to 50 lbsRequirements:Background check, including fingerprintingMaine Department of Education Educational Technician III authorization preferred, Education Technician II required (would be paid at Ed Tech II rate)Special Education experience preferredPay and Benefits:Pay starts at $23.56 per hour and increases based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contractHealth Insurance (including Vision)Dental Insurance (100% employee paid)15 Sick Days3 Personal Days9 Paid HolidaysFSA Eligible to contribute to a 403(b) retirement planAbout Camden Rockport Elementary School:Camden Rockport Elementary School, nestled in a spacious setting with woods and fields adjacent to the high school, serves approximately 360 students in grades PreK-4 from the towns of Camden and Rockport.
