Classroom Teacher (K-5) - Elk Ridge Elementary (2026-27 School Year)

Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for a Classroom Teacher (K-5) at Elk Ridge Elementary School beginning the 2026 - 2027 School Year.This position will start August 14th, 2026.New Teacher Orientation will be held August 11th, 12th and 13th, 2026.A teaching contract is 187 days.External candidates are allowed to bring in up to 17 years of contracted K - 12 teaching experience.Qualifications:1. A valid ND teaching certificate2. Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom and on the campus in a fair and just manner.f. Takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.g. Attends and participates in faculty meetings.h. Assists in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials.i. Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with other staff members. j. Provides for his/her own professional growth through an ongoing program of reading, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced course work at institutions of higher learning complying with Bismarck Public Schools' professional growth program.
