Maintenance & Housekeeping Technician - Full-time

Status: Full – Time, 40 hours per weekLocation | Department: Affordable Housing | Environmental Services(Position be responsible for units in Grand Rapids, Belmont, and Sparta, MI)What You’ll DoThe Maintenance & Housekeeping Technician is responsible for conducting both interior and exterior tasks related to maintaining, cleaning, repairing, and renovating buildings and rooms. This position will travel to various communities and oversee maintenance to ensure they are kept safe, clean, and comfortable.Community MaintenancePerforms interior and exterior repair, general maintenance, housekeeping and remodeling of buildings and rooms. Complete preventive maintenance tasks.Conduct routine inspections of community building, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs. HousekeepingCompletes cleaning tasks, inspection, and final walk through of rooms to ensure they are clean and completely ready for move-ins. Performs housekeeping tasks in common areas, such as floors, sinks, toilets, trash cans, counters, windows, mirrors, lint traps, etc.Documentation & ComplianceKeep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections.Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.Tracks supplies and expenses related to the care of the building and grounds.Manage and maintain an accurate inventory tag system for all equipment, furniture and other community owned property.Participates in inspections.Provides education to team members and residents on Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and ensures that building is in compliance with requirements.Attends events, educational seminars, and Fair Housing Compliance meetings.Initiates bids for contractual services.What It TakesHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of five (5) years’ experience in a maintenance / environmental service related field.Knowledgeable of building codes and safety regulations as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Must possess a valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license.Position requires travel to various communities and being available for on-call duties.Why Brio Living Services?Make a real impact in the lives of older adults!Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance| Retirement Savings Plan| Wellness Program & ReimbursementPaid Time Off | 6 Paid Holidays | 2 Floating HolidaysACCESSIBILITY SUPPORTBrio Living Services is committed to offering reasonable accommodation to job applicants with disabilities.
