Licensed Veterinary Technician

Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician Position Type: Full Time Schedule: 4 days a week, no weekends - 7:30am–5:30pm (10-hour shifts) Location: Stone Ave Vet Stone Ave Vet is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our medical team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their skills, comfortable working independently, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment. This position plays an important role in patient care, client communication, and supporting overall hospital flow. What We’re Looking For An experienced veterinary professional who can manage daily responsibilities with minimal supervision Someone who communicates clearly and works well with both clients and teammates A calm, capable presence for patients and pet parents A team-oriented individual who is willing to step in where needed to support the hospital Required Qualifications Veterinary Assistant: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a clinical veterinary setting OR Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in good standing with SC LLR Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program Passed the VTNE Strong working knowledge of patient care and hospital workflows Comfortable handling dogs and cats, including fearful or stressed patients Able to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment Computer proficient (Digitail experience is a plus; training provided) Willing to assist with cleaning and general hospital upkeep as part of a shared team responsibility Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support Assist with patient exams, treatments, and procedures Safe and calming patient restraint Administer medications as directed (within scope of role) Assist with diagnostics and laboratory procedures Support anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and recovery Perform basic grooming tasks such as nail trims Maintain clean, organized treatment and exam areas Client Communication & Support Provide client education and support regarding treatments and procedures Assist with basic patient triage in person and on the phone Communicate clearly with the medical team to ensure continuity of care Team & Hospital Support Support hospital flow and assist teammates as needed Contribute to a positive, respectful team environment Participate in daily cleaning and organization tasks Benefits 401(k) with employer matching Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off Employee discount Uniform allowance Stone Ave Vet is an equal opportunity employer.
