Job DescriptionAt the Boeing Company, we are seeking Associate Software Engineers to support the Air Dominance Mission Systems Engineering team located in Daytona Beach, FL. This position will focus on supporting the BDS Boeing Defense, Space & Security business organization.Intro Paragraph:The candidate will assist software systems development on cloud infrastructures following modern DevSecOps and Agile execution processes to support all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements and interface definition, design, development, and integration of Cloud Native Software including:Common Operating Picture: Contributing to the creation and maintenance of a shared, up-to-date display of relevant information for all stakeholders.Data Fusion: Integrating and processing data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive and coherent view of the operational environment.Integration of Open API Interfaces: Collaborating on the integration of open API interfaces to facilitate interoperability and data exchange.The selected candidate will be responsible for and has ownership of the Software Design, Code, and Test ensuring performance, interfaces, and functional and non-functional requirements are met for the capabilities listed above.Position Responsibilities:Develop software design, coding, and unit/integration testing of features/user stories.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Develop scalable and resilient front and backend solutions using cloud technologies.Assist in the design, development and maintenance of software pipelines and tools.Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural principles and coding standards.Support the Ground software verification/validation using the selected testing tools, laboratories, and simulators.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Ability to acquire a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Post-Start).2+ years of experience in software development languages (e.g., C++, JavaScript, and C#).Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies, with focus on Scrum and KanbanPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months.Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with database solutions (e.g. SQL, MongoDB…).Proficiency in backend programming languages (e.g. C#, C++, Node.js, Rust, and Go).Proficiency in frontend programming languages and frameworks (e.g. TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and Angular).Proficiency in asynchronous communication interface development between clients and servers.Experience with DevSecOps practices such as continuous integration and development tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab Runners).Experience utilizing commercial Cloud Providers such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.Knowledge of microservices architecture and related frameworks.Experience working in an Agile Environment (e.g. Jira, Confluence).Expertise in data fusion techniques and data integration from multiple sources.Familiarity with creating and maintaining a Common Operating Picture for operational environments.Experience in integrating Open API interfaces for interoperability.Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering principles and tools (e.g. Ops analysis, subsystem/sensor models, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.).Travel:10%Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:The Boeing Company also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.Summary Pay Range: $92,650 - $125,350Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidatesExport Control Requirements:This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
