ILP is committed to creating opportunities for families to thrive and achieve their educational goals together.Role DescriptionThe Children’s Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing a literacy-based after-school tutoring program and additional activities during the school year for students at Roberts Academy, a Pre-K to 8th Grade school, in Cincinnati, OH. The program and activities are for students whose parents or family members participate in adult English language learning classes as well as for other students at Roberts Academy who are identified by the school as needing additional literacy tutoring through the lens of ESL/ family literacy support. This role involves collaboration with the Roberts CLCI team and school administration, external partners, and volunteers. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring alignment of programs with the vision and goals of the Intergenerational Literacy Program, its parent organization Community Learning Center Institute (CLCI), and with Roberts Academy. Key Responsibilities:Ensure systems are designed and implemented for effective management of existing and future programs, including coordination, communication and promotion across all audiences  Develop, recruit, train, and maintain relationships with volunteers Develop and collaborate with partners (CLCI, Roberts Welcome Center, Learning Grove, etc.)Collaborate with the Adult Program Coordinator to create a holistic family learning experience, aiming to support academic achievement, personal development, and social-emotional well-beingCollect and maintain program data for internal evaluation, working with the CLCI administration team to ensure program and funding goals are metSupport student engagement and achievement through the development of curricula, methods and materials that enhance student and family learningDesired Qualifications and Skills:Previous experience with and enjoyment of working with children.Previous experience in program coordination, education, or youth services; or other relevant experienceExcellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to engage students, staff, volunteers, and families in a positive and supportive mannerKnowledge of educational and enrichment resources available in the community is a plus, as is the ability to speak SpanishHours:Must be available for after-school programming and Mondays/Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 pmWeekly planning sessions with the Adult Program Coordinator and other team/volunteer meetings as neededOther daytime hours can be flexible, though the coordinator is expected to be on-site at Roberts Academy throughout the week
