Maintenance Tech IV (Lead) - 2nd Shift
OverviewThe Maintenance Technician Lead is responsible for overseeing the preventive and routine maintenance on all distribution center equipment and structures as well as performing complex repairs while supporting the production operation. In this role, you will lead the evening shift schedules.2nd Shift: Tuesday-Friday 12pm-10:30pmResponsibilitiesOversee a team of Technicians in the performance of general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and upkeep of the entire distribution centerReview Computerized Maintenance Management System and assign Technicians to workorders, maintenance tasks, and preventative maintenance tasksPerform Quality Control Checks on all maintenance tasks, workorders, and documentationDocument and report completion of all Facility/Material Handling equipment maintenance to SupervisorTroubleshoot and repair extensive electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems (i.e. Programable Logic Controller malfunctions, transformer failures, VFD diagnostics, shoe/tilt tray sorter repairs, servo motor troubleshooting, cardboard baler service, etc.)Design or fabricate the necessary components for projectsOperate lift trucks, maintenance equipment, grounds equipment, and company vehiclesPerform extensive maintenance procedures including conducting daily preventative maintenance inspectionsProperly follow critical Lock Out / Tag Out actions while working on equipment, use required PPE (i.e. safety glasses, Arc flash suits, respirators, and fall protection), and follow both company and OSHA safety proceduresSupport Junior Technicians through basic facility/grounds maintenance including but not limited to basic plumbing, yard work, lightbulb replacement, drywall repair, HVAC checks, cleaning, and floor repairsSupport Junior Technicians through troubleshooting and repair of basic electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems (i.e. belt tracking, sensors, chain alignment and tension, replace/repair gear boxes/motors, electrical overloads, blown fuses, broken mac valves, etc.)Use industrial power tools such as welders, bandsaws, lathes, presses, bench grinders, etc.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 7 years previous Facility/Material Handling equipment maintenance experience with 3 years assigned as a Technician III equivalent, or 5 years previous Facility/Material Handling equipment maintenance experience with 5 years previous maintenance experience in a relevant fieldDemonstrated experience in conveyor systems, HVAC, plumbing, general building maintenance, and knowledge of safety regulationsProficient in P.L.C's, PC Controls, welding procedures, electrical repairs, and installationAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to read, write, conduct business related mathematics, analyze data, and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System as requiredCapable of moving up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally with assistance as neededComfortable operating equipment 30-40 feet in the airAble to comfortably fit and work in a fall protection harnessLeadership and effective communication skillsAt Foot Locker, we value innovation, authenticity, and integrity in all that we do. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the rate for this position.
