Job DescriptionProgram ManagerVA Medical CenterHouston, TXLead Programs That Support Those Who ServedWe’re seeking an experienced Program Manager for an upcoming opportunity at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston. This role is ideal for a certified project management professional who can lead complex facility programs, coordinate stakeholders, and keep critical initiatives on schedule.ResponsibilitiesManage facility, maintenance, renovation, and capital programsDevelop work plans, milestones, and integrated schedulesTrack performance, risks, issues, resources, and dependenciesPrepare status reports, leadership briefings, and decision materialsCoordinate contractors, VA leaders, clinical teams, and other stakeholdersCommunicate outages, construction impacts, and major risksLead status meetings and recommend process improvementsEnsure compliance with task-order and VA requirementsQualificationsCurrent Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationAt least 10 years of relevant experienceExperience managing complex programs and project portfoliosStrong scheduling, reporting, and resource-planning skillsExperience managing risks, issues, milestones, and performance metricsStrong leadership and stakeholder communication skillsExperience supporting leadership decisions and continuous improvementWhat’s in It for You?Full-time contract opportunity with a potential additional option yearLeadership role supporting a facility that serves VeteransOpportunity to manage high-impact facility initiativesCollaboration with government, clinical, and technical leadersStructured and mission-focused work environmentScheduleThe facility operates 24 hours a day.
