Apache DeveloperCloudScale Runtime Engineer: Apache Open Source / HTTPD, Integration, and BaaS solutioning. Engineer with experience on working with the open source platforms such as Apache HTTPD and other Apache projects like Camel, ServiceMix, Karaf, UserGrid (BaaS), Kafka, Storm, Zookeeper, Mesos, HTRace, JBatch/BatchEE, Ignite, Ripple, Streams and other projects. Cloudscale Runtime engineering team is responsible for the Engineering and Delivery of Next Generation Light weight Open Standards-based Platforms for Application Development/Deployment, Caching, Messaging, and Integration Services in client Private Cloud. The responsibilities of the team include delivery and adoption of the Next Generation Runtime Platforms for strategic programs across client Business Lines.Key Responsibilities:Engineer efficient Service Provisioning and Management of the Platforms in client Private cloud environmentDevelop Integrated monitoring and management of the light weight runtimes from Apache projectsEnable On-demand scalability and Capacity Management of the servicesEngineer Platform Security Guidelines consistent with client Global Security PoliciesProvide subject matter expertise to enable rapid Application development and deployment leveraging the Apache CloudScale product runtime platformsWork closely with application development teams to handle escalations and provide timely issue resolutionsThis CloudScale Engineer position requires Evaluation and Assessments of Next Generation runtime & frameworks and develop usage Patterns and Recommendations for early adopter use-cases.Must have skillsAbout 2-3 years of hands-on working experience with web server & application routing platforms such as apache httpd, eureka or integration products like ServiceMix.Experience in leveraging apache open source capabilities in public cloud platforms for efficient service provisioning, management and monitoring as well as Continuity of Business/Disaster recovery solutions in context of enterprise use case scenariosWorking experience on projects involving multiple services/component integrationExperience in engineering platform security and integration with Security/Authentication/Authorization servicesStrong Exposure to Application Paradigms, Network Protocols and Resilient services around Apache componentsExposure to Application Programming Languages such as Ruby, Java, C/C++, C#.Exposure to REST/JSON and WebServices servicesExperience using either WebService or RESTWorking experience with one of more scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, ShellExcellent Oral and Written Communication SkillsNice to have SkillsStrong Exposure to Cloud environments such as AWS/CloudFoundry/Google/AzuneHands on experience with Storm, or KafkaExposure to API based Application Services Integration FrameworksExposure to automation framework components such as ChefExperience with service and application monitoring frameworks such as Graphite, Wily, RTViewLog management in a distributed environment using utilities such as Logstash/SplunkExposure to Middleware components such as WebServer, AppServer, Messaging, Integration platforms.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.By clicking the link above or any third-party link within this posting, you are leaving this site and going to a third-party website where the third-party website's terms and privacy policy apply
