Commercial Maintenance Technician
The Commercial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of commercial building systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable property operations. This role supports building performance by maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire/life safety, and related systems. The Maintenance Technician works under the direction of the Property Manager and participates in an on-call rotation to respond to building emergencies as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Perform general repairs, maintenance and replacement of building components including, but not limited to building fixtures and appliances, plumbing and electrical
Maintain operation logs and files, where appropriate, to include, but not limited to: equipment or operation inspection logs specific to the property
Provide prompt and courteous response to tenant service requests
Maintain ethical, professional and courteous relations with contractors and tenants
Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with the entire operation staff and perform as a team member
Demonstrate full competency in applying all property emergency procedures to include assisting with directing building occupants during evacuations and assisting with life safety system alarms
Utilize fire alarm and life safety systems at assigned property and make adjustments as needed
Actively participate in required training activities and seminars
Assume additional responsibilities as delegated by supervisor
Being on call for emergencies at the property
