Second Shift Value Stream Supervisor

Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities for production and warehouse staff in the assembly, test, packaging, and shipment of sub-assemblies and final products. The position must interface well with the Value Stream staff and others as required to both ensure good communication and drive improvement in the processes listed. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. 1. Provide job related training and guidance to employees. 2. Enforce all company policies and work rules. 3. Establish and maintain good communication with department personnel and management goals and initiatives. 4. Identify and assist in resolving process issues working with the Manufacturing Engineers and other groups. 5. Implements cost reduction activities and monitors progress toward achieving the financial goals. 6. Coordinate materials and jobs to the floor and assign all personnel to ensure an efficient work flow. 7. Coordinate production schedule daily and monthly with consideration of long term requirements. 8. Monitor work flow and manpower and make recommendations for staffing adjustments as necessary. 9. Check for correct labor reporting on the existing system and approve hours worked for payroll. 10. Assure proper work procedures in the contractual environment. 11. Responsible and accountable for safety and loss prevention within their scope. 12. Conduct performance reviews and hold departmental meetings. 13. Ensure that cycle counts are completed and supplies are ordered as necessary. 14. Support shipment allocation and deallocation for the value stream as necessary. 15. Ensure daily metrics are maintained and develop continuous improvement plans to improve performance utilizing LEAN tools. 16. Run daily GEMBA meetings as required. Demonstrated experience in a LEAN environment. Preferred- Bachelors degree in business or engineering. Experience with warehouse operations, packaging requirements, and hazmat requirements a plus. Experience- Required- Assembly/manufacturing experience, familiarity with quality, materials and planning functions
