The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for managing the maintenance program for a 3-3x1 Combined-Cycle Power Plant in Loxahatchee, Florida.Job SummaryThis position is responsible for executing both short-term and long-term maintenance strategies ensuring that all activities are conducted following corporate policies and all applicable local, state, and federal permits, codes, standards, and regulations. As a Leader this person will be responsible for the direct supervision and performance management of maintenance employees, both bargaining unit and exempt. The successful candidate will work with the Plant Manager to successfully implement the maintenance plan, ensuring that all budget targets are met.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure a short-range maintenance work plan is effectively functioning as a cohesive plan across all plant departments, including planning, scheduling, procurement of materials and contract laborReview and provide feedback on the long-term maintenance strategyResponsible for all contract administrationLead site for short notice outage planning to ensure budget optimization and effectiveness of all expendituresWork with the Central Maintenance Team, site personnel and contractors as needed to plan and execute all major maintenance and other planned outages as site leadProvide oversight and strategic direction for maintaining all maintenance proceduresProvide leadership and precise decisions when serving as on call managerSet clear expectations for team members and contractorsBehavioral Attributes:Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsMust be safety orientedAble to understand Business processes and apply to situationThe ability to handle complex situations under pressureMust be a team playerMust be a self-starter with a strong bias for actionPreferred Attributes & Qualifications:Knowledge and understanding of advanced power plant maintenance and operationsPlanning and scheduling of complex tasksContract management experience a plusAbility to manage multiple work scopesAdditional Duties & Responsibilities:Manages associated capital and O&M budgetsResponsible for work management backlogTroubleshoot and analyze equipment performance deviationsEnsure site equipment is in excellent operational condition and available for use at all timesJob Overview
