Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel Cardiac Sonographer for a travel job in Hermiston, Oregon.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Cardiac SonographerDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 05/26/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 10 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 4x10hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: May 26, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 1+ years of experience performing TTE, TEE, and stress echocardiograms under the direction of a Cardiologist.Details4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through FridayPerforms transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), and stress echocardiograms per protocol, ASE guidelines, and physician ordersUtilizes contrast agents such as Definity and agitated bubble techniques when appropriateMay start and manage IV lines for contrast echocardiography when credentialed and trainedMay be floated to other departments within clinical scope before core staff is floatedRequirementsMinimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Tech; 3 years preferredRDCS certification through ARDMS or RCS certification through CCI requiredBLS certification requiredGraduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with a focus in Cardiac SonographyExperience with stress echocardiography and TEE preferredStrong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, pathology, and sonographic principlesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs independently and push/pull/carry objects or patients up to 25 lbsLicense required if applicableAdditional InformationAcquire and review high-quality cardiac images, analyze echocardiographic data, and prepare preliminary findings for the interpreting CardiologistMaintains accurate patient records, documentation, and reports in PACS or EMR systemsCollaborates closely with Cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient careParticipates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and IAC Echocardiography accreditation processesIf the assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be requiredRole is performed in a fast-paced inpatient healthcare environment with frequent exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials; PPE use is expectedWalking and standing are typically continuous throughout the shiftAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-706811.
