This role is built for someone who loves analytical work but also wants a clear path toward becoming a client‑facing Financial Consultant.You’ll be the analytical engine behind strategic benefits consulting—freeing senior team members to focus on higher‑level strategy while you take ownership of reporting, forecasting, underwriting support, and client deliverables.📊 What You’ll DoMonthly & annual reporting — claims, utilization, financial performanceCarrier data review: interpreting utilization trends and cost driversClaims analysis & forecasting for renewals and plan performanceCost projections for benefit offerings and funding strategiesSelf‑funded plan evaluation and IBNR analysisUnderwriting support and financial modelingPartnering with Benefits & Financial Consultants on client strategySupporting client meetings and gradually becoming client‑facingBenchmarking and market competitiveness analysis⭐ What Sets You Up for SuccessWe’re looking for someone who brings 2–5 years of relevant experience and can hit the ground running with:Healthcare/employee benefits industry experienceUnderwriting + claims analysis expertiseExperience with self‑funded, level‑funded, or ASO plansAdvanced Excel and strong financial modeling skillsAbility to interpret carrier data and forecasting outputsStrong communication skills and interest in growing into a consultant roleBackground with a broker, carrier, consulting firmIdeal backgrounds include underwriting, financial consulting, benefits consulting, claims analysis, or healthcare analytics.💼 Compensation & Work Environment$75K–$85K base salary (up to $90K for exceptional experience)Competitive benefits packageRemote role, with optional weekly time in the office - candidates must be located near the Richmond, VA area
