Environmental Project Manager - Remediation/CERCLAAECOM is actively seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to oversee Federal environmental investigation and remediation projects. This position can work from one of our offices in Chelmsford or Boston, MA, Providence, RI or Manchester, New Hampshire. The position can be remote but the candidate needs to be located in the New England area.Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Manages and directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projectsExperience with CERCLA projects and federal facilitiesExperience managing RI/FS, Remedial Design, Five Year ReviewsRegular client interaction on technical/cost/schedule topicsFamiliar with project invoicing and cash flow managementProject scheduling experience and expertiseAnalyzes financial statements and completes budget trackingInterprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliancePerforms work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area managerOversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studiesSupervises junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project workOccasional overnight travel requiredQualificationsMinimum RequirementsBA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of experience directly as a project managerExperience as a client facing professional with seller-doer ambitions.Professional License (PE, PG) in New England states8+ years' experience in environmental remediation (soil, water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) project managementMaster's degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related degreeExperience with regulator and stakeholder negotiationsExperience successfully managing environmental projects for Federal clients (USACE, Air Force, Navy, EPA)Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA processesExperience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project deliverySuperior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiencesExperience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change ordersInterest in business developmentHave led teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies in support of Federal environmental projects
