Facilities Technician (The Speedway Club at Texas Motor Speedway)Overview:Texas Motor Speedway is a key location in the Speedway Motorsports nationwide network of entertainment venues. Speedway Motorsports maintains a consistent focus on four core principles:Take care of teammatesBe known for remarkable eventsPositively impact our communityProfitably improvePosition Responsibility:Oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance for the Speedway Club building, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, elevators, fire/life safety systems, and building automation systems.Ensure all building systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with applicable codes.Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.Respond promptly to maintenance issues, emergencies, and event-related requests.Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, third party vendors, service providers and/or contracted personnel.Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and service contracts.Prepare the facility for club events, race weekends, corporate functions, and private gatherings.Coordinate with food & beverage vendor, and event teams to support seamless guest experiences.Provide in-person support during Speedway Club events and peak operational periods.Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility, both interior and exterior.Assist with emergency preparedness and response planning.Other duties assigned by the Director of Operations & Vice President of Operations.Requirements:High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in building/facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer applications.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with an ability to work independentlyAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and race/event days.• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in confined spaces, loud environments and stand or walk for extended periods.Positive attitude and creative problem solver who enjoys multi-tasking.Position Type: Full-timeCompensation: Negotiable based on prior work experienceBenefits:Medical, dental, and other insurance benefits401(k) planVacation and paid holidays
