Project Manager

Hiring Locations: Arlington, VA / Tempe, AZ / Bellevue, WAAmazon's Middle Mile is looking for a detail-oriented, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Program Manager. In this role, you will own launching, managing and scaling disruptive new programs to improve defect detection capabilities for our trailer fleet. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience partnering with different stakeholder teams and customers, managing multiple priorities and deadlines, and delivering strong results. They will be responsible for developing and executing cost optimization initiatives, managing pricing agreements with vendors, and driving spend efficiency across Amazon Middle Mile Fleet. This person must have a high degree of autonomy with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems, develop solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal guidance. They must be able to think strategically, yet execute methodically to deliver to the highest standards. This person has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the aptitude to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to varied audiences. They will have a strong entrepreneurial orientation and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary in a start-up like environment. Open to candidates in Arlington, VA, Tempe, AZ and Bellevue, WA.Responsibilities:Own the coordination, oversight, and successful completion of multiple simultaneous pilot programs within the middle mile fleet and transportation spaceDefine and measure the success of pilot programs on a daily basis, pulling and analyzing data to identify trends and inform decision-makingSet deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of each programPartner with external vendors and internal operations teams, including central operations teams, to execute and evaluate pilotsDevelop and present clear, accurate, and insightful reports and commentary to upper management and stakeholders, including VP-level leadership, regarding program status and trendsEvaluate pilot performance within defined timeframes to determine viability for scaling or need for course correction, operating on a four-to-six-week assessment cycleCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to expand successful pilots to additional sites and drive scalable solutionsDevelop and execute cost optimization initiatives, manage pricing agreements with vendors, and drive spend efficiency across the fleetLead and direct the work of others, providing guidance and direction across a geographically distributed teamCommunicate complex information clearly and concisely to varied audiences through written and verbal channels, including regular calls, one-on-ones, staff meetings, and collaborative messaging platformsSkills:Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends and develop solution-based next stepsIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel for daily data pulling and analysisWorking knowledge of SQL to bridge data gaps and support analytical needsProven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and external partnersExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to varied audiencesHigh degree of autonomy with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems and drive projects forward with minimal guidanceStrategic thinking paired with methodical execution to deliver results at the highest standardsStrong entrepreneurial orientation with a willingness to roll up your sleeves in a start-up-like environmentCreativity and latitude in problem-solving, with a demonstrated ability to remove roadblocks and drive proExperience:5-7 years of program or project management experience requiredBackground in fleet, automotive, or transportation industries strongly preferredDemonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines while delivering strong resultsProven track record of partnering with diverse stakeholder teams and customers to launch and scale programsPrior experience with Amazon or Amazon Middle Mile operations is a plusQualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeProject Management Professional certification is a plus but not requiredThis posting is for a contract assignment with Tundra Technical Solutions to provide services to Amazon.The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $58.73/hour - $66.56/hour.Tundra’s benefits offering includes optional medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, and a New Child Benefit.Pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, qualified applicants will be considered for assignment with arrest and conviction records.
