Placement Type:TemporarySalary:$75-80 HourlyStart Date:May 4, 2026YOU MUST BE LOCAL TO SF BAY AREA AT THE TIME OF APPLYINGAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled consultant to partner with our Internal Audit & Control team to elevate our analytics, automation, and reporting capabilities.This role will play a critical part in advancing the maturity of our Internal Control function by delivering scalable data solutions, enhancing reporting frameworks, and enabling the team to independently build and sustain capabilities over time.This is a hybrid strategic + hands-on role requiring someone who can both build solutions and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.What You'll DoAnalytics & ReportingDesign and develop scalable Power BI dashboards across Internal Control programs (e.g., store audits, T&E)Build executive-level reporting alongside operational drill-down viewsDefine and standardize KPIs, calculation logic, and reporting frameworks Insights & Risk IdentificationAnalyze large datasets to identify:Control gaps and non-complianceEmerging trends and root causesTranslate data into actionable insights to support remediation and process improvementsPartner with stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making Automation & Advanced SolutionsDevelop and optimize Power Automate workflows (alerts, approvals, exception handling)Support AI-enabled analytics initiatives to identify risk patterns and anomaliesCollaborate with Internal Control and IT to integrate new data sources and workflows Enablement & Capability Building (Critical)Create SOPs and documentation for:Power BI datasets and governanceDashboard maintenance and change managementAutomation workflows and controlsBuild reusable templates and analytical frameworksProvide hands-on knowledge transfer, enabling the team to independently maintain and scale solutions Ad Hoc & Strategic SupportSupport evolving Internal Control priorities through:One-off analyses and deep divesTemporary dashboards and pilotsThought partnership on new initiativesFlex between execution, advisory, and problem-solving as business needs evolveWhat You BringExperience5+ years in Internal Audit, Internal Controls, Finance, or Consulting3+ years supporting data-enabled audit, risk, or control functionsExperience in Retail or CPG environments preferred Technical & Functional SkillsAdvanced Power BI expertise (dashboarding, DAX, data modeling)Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and audit processesExperience with automation tools (Power Automate required)Exposure to AI-driven analytics or predictive insights (preferred)Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R is a plus Core CompetenciesAbility to translate complex data into clear, actionable insightsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsProven ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environmentsStrategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindsetExperience building scalable processes, frameworks, and documentationWhy This RoleThis is a unique opportunity to:Drive transformation within Internal ControlsWork at the intersection of data, automation, and riskBuild solutions that create long-term impact and scalabilityAct as a strategic partner to leadership while staying hands-onIdeal ProfileYou're someone who:Bridges audit expertise with advanced analyticsCan both build and adviseThrives in ambiguous, evolving environmentsEnjoys solving complex problems and creating scalable solutions**About Aquent Talent:**Aquent Talent connects the best talent in marketing, creative, and design with the world's biggest brands.Our eligible talent get access to amazing benefits like subsidized health, vision, and dental plans, paid sick leave, and retirement plans with a match.
