Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor provides essential leadership for the Housekeeping department, overseeing the mission of the department and ensuring the integrity of the cleanliness of the building. This position is responsible for fostering strong cross-functional relationships, maintaining effective communication, and nurturing personnel growth and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the professional and timely cleaning of assigned areas, ensuring a consistently clean and organized work environment.
Foster and maintain effective relationships, communication, and collaboration with other departments to streamline operations.
Promote personnel growth through continuous training, coaching, and mentoring, cultivating a skilled and motivated team.
Proactively seek and recommend methods to improve operational efficiency, including sourcing and procurement of cleaning products.
Develop and manage the annual budget for the housekeeping department.
All other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites:
Capability to establish successful partnerships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Understanding of working with individuals of all ages and diverse personality types.
Sound understanding of inventory management principles.
Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory turnover, and cash flow management.
Strong commitment to quality control and a culture of excellence, holding team members accountable.
Ability to take instructions and adapt to evolving requirements.
Effective planning and organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
Basic computer skills are required.
Familiarity with cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
Understanding of and commitment to the First Team concept.
Education and / or Experience: 2-5 years’ experience in similar field preferred.
