PCB Layout Designer

Job Location: San Jose, CA Qualifications BS or Higher Degree in Electrical Engineering 5+ years in industrial product electrical design Experience with Altium Designer schematic capture and layout tools Experience with electrical schematic capture, PCB design, wiring diagrams, parts database structures, BOM structures, and engineering change management Experience in developing UI systems using touch screens and push buttons Proficient with electronics lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, soldering irons, etc. for troubleshooting and evaluating hardware designs Strong technical skills including low cost hardware design, design for reuse, critical thinking, problem solving and data analysis Responsibilities Electrical lead for development of new products and/or improvement of existing products for cost reductions, warranty improvements, and manufacturability. Design electronic module hardware including PCBAs for industrial fastening equipment from conception through mass production including but not limited to: data transfer systems, embedded system controllers, and user interfaces Develop the documentations during the development and transfer to manufacturing (schematics, diagrams, BOM, test procedures) Verify designs through simulation, bench testing and experimentation Ensure design compliance including but not limited to: ISO 6789, NIST, FCC Contribute to and follow the company product development process by participating in a disciplined phase gate process and design reviews through concept, design, verification, commercialization and project closure Job Type: Full-time Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
