This is more than teaching-it's building confidence, fostering independence, and inspiring hope for the futureWhat You'll Do:Design and deliver individualized, engaging IEP-driven instruction that supports each student's learning goals and is tailored to each student's strengths and needsDevelop and implement lesson plans in alignment with IEPs and curriculum standardsCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet academic, social, and behavioral needsFoster a safe, structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional growthCollaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to create a unified support system for each studentUse evidence-based strategies to promote learning and skill developmentTrack and share meaningful progress updates with families and school teamsParticipate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school eventsSupport students during transitions, extracurricular activities, and when behavioral interventions are neededWhat You Bring:Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (required)Certification: Valid state Special Education certification (required)Experience: At least 2 years of classroom teaching preferred, especially with ASD/IDDSkills: Strong classroom management, adaptability, collaboration, and clear communicationMindset: Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the belief that all students can succeedTraining: PMT, CPR, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain after hire)Why You'll Love Working Here:We believe in investing in the people who power our mission.
