The Associate Director supports senior leadership in achieving departmental goals, oversees day-to-day operations, and ensures alignment with organizational strategy. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing resources effectively, and fostering collaboration across teams to deliver on organizational objectives. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with overarching business objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to set goals and KPIsManage daily operations, including workflows, budgets, and resources. Optimize processes and ensure efficiencyLead, mentor, and evaluate managers and their teams. Facilitate performance reviews and professional growthEstablish strong stakeholder relationships. Act as liaison between departments, clients, and vendors; represent the department in executive discussionsPlan and monitor budgets, allocate resources, and manage expenditures to support strategic initiativesTrack KPIs, conduct data analysis, and generate reports on operations, progress, and outcomes for senior leadershipEnsure adherence to legal, regulatory, and company policies. Identify and mitigate potential risksContinuously evaluate systems and processes to identify improvements, implement enhancements, and drive operational excellenceLead or support cross-functional projects such as product launches, public relations events, training programs, or client engagementsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:7+ years of progressive leadership or management experience with strategic and operational responsibilitiesExperience with regulatory and policy complianceDemonstrated solid communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadershipDemonstrated success in process improvement, with a proven track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutionsAbility to travel up to 25% of the timePreferred Qualifications:Experience with government healthcare programs or contract-driven service deliveryBackground in clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, or accreditationProven ability to deliver outcomes in complex or multi-program operational setting*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
