Web Developer Job Description Position Overview:The contractor shall provide technical capability, knowledge, industry partnerships, experience, and expertise/proficiency required to design, code, modify, and support the department’s website solutions. Key Areas of Responsibility: Writing clean, organized, and efficient code for websites and web applications. Creating user-friendly interfaces and responsive layouts that work across various devices and browsers. Collaborating with designers, project managers, and clients to ensure websites meet their needs and expectations. Troubleshooting and debugging code to fix issues and improve website performance. Keeping up to date with emerging web development technologies and best practices. Integrating third-party applications and APIs to enhance website functionality. Testing websites and web applications to ensure they function as intended and are error-free. Implementing security protocols and measures to protect websites from potential threats. Providing technical support and maintenance for websites post-launch. Documenting code and processes to facilitate future maintenance andupdates. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: • At least 5 years of documented experience developing enterprise-level websites. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web developmenttechnologies. Familiarity with front-end frameworks and libraries like React, Vue, orAngular. Experience working with back-end technologies like Node.js, PHP, or Rubyon Rails. Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices. Ability to write clean, well-documented code and follow coding standards. Knowledge of database technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, orPostgreSQL. Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN. Familiarity with responsive design and mobile-first development. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
