Human Resources Generalist needed for an Insurance Agency located in San Ramon, CA – Hybrid!A thriving insurance brokerage is growing its team and looking to add an experienced Insurance Accountant / HR Generalist to support both accounting and human resources operations. This agency is devoted to ensuring its employees are cared for and rewarded for their hard work and dedication through fun company events, bonus opportunities, and a collaborative team environment.Position Details:Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMEmployment Type: Direct HireLocation: San Ramon, CAWork Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)Compensation: $85,000 – $120,000 DOEBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package offeredJob Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Maintain accurate payroll and timesheet recordsUpdate employee handbook in accordance with company policies and employment lawsOversee employee onboarding, orientation, and termination processesEnsure compliance with legal regulations and HR recordkeeping requirementsCoordinate employee benefits open enrollment, safety training, anti-harassment training, and additional HR initiativesCollaborate with hiring managers and recruiters regarding staffing needsReport directly to the President and CFOWork closely with the Office Manager, agency bookkeeper, account managers, and external CPA/accounting teamsPremium collections and payment processingPrepare journal entries, P&L statements, and balance sheetsScan checks and download carrier statementsTrack, reconcile, and manage payments and carrier downloadsReconcile agency commissions on direct-billed accountsAdd and maintain agency direct billing accountsRequirements:Minimum 3-5 recent years of accounting/bookkeeping experience within an insurance agency environmentIndependent insurance agency experience requiredEPIC experience strongly preferredExperience handling agency bill and direct bill accounting functionsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational, communication, and phone skillsAbility to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environmentHR administration or HR Generalist experience is highly preferred
