Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Inspector III to join our team. In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise to inspect aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts, ensuring the highest standards of airworthiness. You will be responsible for verifying conformance to manufacturer specifications and government regulations, playing a key role in identifying any breaches in safety or quality standards.Your inspection authority will encompass all in-process inspections, final inspections for minor work (non-337 form), and the approval for return to service for minor work (non-337 form).Key ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspections of aircraft, components, and parts to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.Exercise inspection authority to approve or reject work, including the return to service for minor work (non-337 form).Identify and document any discrepancies, non-conformances, or breaches in airworthiness standards.Ensure all maintenance and inspections are documented accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and ensure quality standards are met.QualificationsRequired: High school diploma or GED equivalent.Typically, 5 or more years of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance or inspection.Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts.Demonstrated understanding and practical experience with product audit and inspection processes and procedures.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).Preferred:Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.Understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or the US Military.
