Manufacturing Process Engineer Location: Indian Head, MD Remote Type: No Remote Clearance: Active U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field Years of Experience: 5+ years of relevant technical experience in engineering Salary Information: $100,000 - $120,000 per year Description Altus Technology Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support energetic materials manufacturing and engineering operations at Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD). This role supports manufacturing process engineering, equipment modernization, and production support efforts across energetics manufacturing operations. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will support engineering and manufacturing activities including process analysis, technical documentation, and coordination of production-related efforts. This position requires experience supporting industrial or manufacturing environments and the ability to contribute to engineering processes and technical program execution. This role is critical to supporting manufacturing operations and engineering initiatives by assisting with process improvements, technical documentation, and coordination across engineering and production teams. Primary Responsibilities: Provide manufacturing process engineering support to technical and management staffSupport design, development, and analysis of manufacturing processes for energetic materialsPerform engineering analysis to support equipment upgrades, repairs, and industrial systemsSupport facility layout, modernization, renovation, and sustainment effortsProvide analysis for protective construction and blast-related engineering requirementsAssist with integration of manufacturing systems, controls, and processing requirementsSupport incorporation of SMART manufacturing technologies, including data acquisition and system integrationDevelop and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, production plans, and technical data packagesSupport analysis of production processes and assist with process improvementsCoordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and program management personnelSupport engineering activities across manufacturing, development, and in-service environmentsPerform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational objectivesQualifications: Required: Active U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance (Must have interim clearance before start date)Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years of relevant engineering experienceExperience supporting engineering or manufacturing environmentsExperience developing technical documentation and engineering reportsAbility to support engineering analysis and process-related activitiesPreferred: Experience supporting energetics, ammunition, explosives, or defense programsExperience working at NSWC Indian Head or similar DoD environmentsExperience supporting manufacturing systems, equipment upgrades, or process improvementsFamiliarity with technical data packages (TDPs) and engineering documentationExperience supporting industrial or production environmentsAbout Altus Since 2004, Altus Technology Solutions has been committed to providing top-quality, performance-driven services to both government and commercial clients.
