Center Director (Sales-Focused) - Educational Services Focus

About the Role We are seeking a high-energy, relationship-driven Center Director to lead our Mathnasium learning center. This is not a traditional desk job — it’s a dynamic role focused on meeting with families, building trust, and driving student enrollment and retention. What You’ll Do Primary Focus: Enrollment & Growth Conduct consultations with parents and students (no cold calling) Clearly communicate Mathnasium’s value and recommend learning plans Convert prospective families into enrolled students Build relationships with local schools and community organizations Retention & Experience Maintain strong relationships with current families Ensure a high-quality, welcoming experience for students Proactively address parent questions and concerns Center Operations (Secondary) Oversee daily center operations and scheduling Support and manage a team of part-time instructors Track performance metrics and enrollment goals What We’re Looking For This role is ideal for someone who is: Outgoing and confident – you enjoy talking with people and building trust quickly Sales-minded (but not pushy) – you know how to guide conversations and close Relationship-driven – you genuinely care about helping kids succeed Organized and dependable – able to manage a center and a team Comfortable leading others – prior management or team leadership is a plus Preferred Backgrounds We welcome candidates from a variety of fields, including: Education (teachers ready for a leadership role) Tutoring centers (Mathnasium, Kumon, Sylvan, Huntington, etc.) Admissions / enrollment / private school settings Child-focused businesses (daycare, camps, swim schools, gymnastics, etc.) Customer-facing roles with a strong sales component What Success Looks Like Growing student enrollment month over month High parent satisfaction and retention A positive, energetic center culture for students and staff Why Join Us Meaningful work helping kids build confidence in math Performance-based compensation with strong upside Leadership role with autonomy and growth potential Supportive ownership focused on long-term success About Mathnasium Mathnasium is a nationally recognized math learning center focused on building confidence and improving results for students of all ages.
