Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Process Control Engineer 2. The work will be done onsite in Tucson, Arizona. This is a 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $40/hour + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).Job SummaryWe are seeking a Process Control Engineer 2 to support manufacturing and supplier quality initiatives for a global equipment manufacturer. This role focuses on implementing product supply strategies, managing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, supporting supplier quality, and driving cost reduction through Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE). The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure components are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and support successful product launches from concept through production.Key ResponsibilitiesManage APQP activities from concept through PPAP to ensure quality, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved.Collaborate with engineering, supplier development, purchasing, and quality teams using Teamcenter and workflow tools to support product releases and supplier sourcing.Monitor supplier quality performance, investigate quality concerns, and coordinate containment and corrective actions.Drive Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives through cost modeling, design for manufacturability, and supplier collaboration.Interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and process data to support continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, process engineering, or a related production environment.Strong understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and manufacturing processes.Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.Working knowledge of Creo or other 3D CAD software, Teamcenter, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies, manufacturing process improvement, and should-cost analysis.Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and time management skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting supplier quality engineering or product supply management.Knowledge of PPAP, manufacturing workflow optimization, and design for manufacturability.Experience working in heavy equipment, industrial manufacturing, or a high-volume production environment.Six Sigma certification or continuous improvement experience.Why This Role?This position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful engineering and manufacturing initiatives supporting new product introduction, supplier quality, and continuous improvement projects.
