Job Description:Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Opportunity - Quincy, ILSeeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide trauma and general orthopedic call coverage in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This full-time role involves managing acute orthopedic cases primarily through the Emergency Department, with a strong focus on general orthopedics including hip fractures, hemiarthroplasties, wrist and ankle fractures, and more.Position Details24-hour call coverage, 7 days per week, with scheduled relief at least 1 night weeklyAcute trauma case management from falls, vehicle accidents, hunting injuries, etc.General orthopedic procedures, averaging:2 cases per weekday3 cases per weekend (approx. 1.5 per day)Hospital consults to be addressed within 24 hours or sooner as requestedTrauma response expectations:Level I: 30-minute responseLevel II: as requestedAll others: physician discretionClinic follow-ups post-call week (typically Monday and Tuesday)Block scheduling with 10+ days off per monthMinimal after-hours call-insBuilt-in recovery time after call shiftsRequirementsBoard Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic SurgeryFellowship in Orthopedic Trauma preferred, not requiredProficiency in managing a wide range of orthopedic injuriesStrong commitment to timely and compassionate trauma careBenefits DetailsBase Salary: $850,000 - $930,000Sign-On BonusEducational Debt Forgiveness LoanRelocation AssistanceComprehensive benefits packageCommunity DetailsQuincy, IL is a scenic, historic community perched on the limestone bluffs of the Mississippi River.
