Avionics Technician F-16
Job Title: Avionics and Electrical TechnicianActive Secret Security ClearanceBased out of Nellis AFB modifying the USAF F-16 fleet.Work Schedule: 5/40-1st ShiftCompletion Bonus: 10% of total Regular hours worked paid at the end of successful completion of the work & no performance/workmanship issues identified, i.e, constantly late to work, missing work, poor quality workmanship, etc. Job Description: Modifies, services, repairs, & overhauls F-16 aircraft electrical & avionics system to ensure airworthiness. Repairs, replaces & rebuilds aircraft electrical/avionics system & components. Performs operational checks, pre/post modification/upgrade/overhaul testing, troubleshoots & repairs aircraft electrical & avionics systems as required.Work typically requires a detailed understanding of electrical/avionics circuits and components. Uses complex test instrument and computer control equipment. Work will be reviewed by supervisor and/or Quality for compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance.Selected candidate must have experience with understanding technical requirements on fighter type aircraft.Candidate must be able to read/understand Technical Orders, Wiring Diagrams, and Work books.Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills.Must read, write and speak English fluently.Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead.This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting.Must be willing to cover other shifts, if neededBasic Qualifications :Minimum 6 years’ experience with F-16 aircraft maintenance and/or modification activitiesMust have held a USAF skill level 5 (or equivalent) in their career field.Experienced in F-16 Avionics and Electrics specialtiesBe able to read & interpret blueprints and schematicsExperience with USAF products and processes to include F-16 hardware and maintenance, technical orders and technical drawings, at the organizational and intermediate levelsDesired skills :F16 Nose to Tail experience in either E&E or Avionics career fieldsF16, F22, F35, F-15, F-18, A10 or other fighter aircraft avionics/electrical experiencePrior Aircraft Modification and Maintenance ExperienceMicrosoft Office Suite Skills
