Senior Commodity Manager
Overview
In this role you will develop and execute global commodity strategies for the Pneumatics Platform, aiming to optimize cost, quality, delivery, inventory, and supply continuity. You will lead supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management, working with engineering, operations, quality, and finance to drive productivity and resilience. You will simplify the supplier base, lead development initiatives, and support new product introductions. This position offers cross-functional impact in a global manufacturing setting and room to shape sourcing strategy within a growth-focused culture.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute global commodity strategies aligned to operating plan targetsIdentify, qualify, and develop suppliers to improve cost, quality, and resilienceLead supplier negotiations and secure best total cost of ownershipStreamline the supply base using 80/20 principlesDrive supplier development and continuous improvement initiativesManage supplier performance via scorecards and executive reviewsAddress supplier issues to protect business continuityLead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, finance, and operations
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in a related field7–10 years in sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain leadership in manufacturingProven experience negotiating complex supplier agreements and using should-cost or cost modeling toolsExperience with metals/industrial components used in pneumatic products and global supplier managementLean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or supplier development experience is a plusStrong analytical, financial, Excel, and ERP skillsAbility to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple prioritiesCross-functional collaborationStrong communication and stakeholder managementLeadership and people developmentShould-cost/cost modelingLean/Continuous ImprovementExcel
