Fractional Controller

*This is NOT a job at ForceBrands*Fractional ControllerRemote | Minimum 8 Hours per Week | Ongoing EngagementA growing consumer food company is seeking a hands-on Fractional Controller to strengthen its accounting processes, reporting, and financial visibility. This person will work closely with company leadership and an existing bookkeeper, with additional hours likely needed during the initial cleanup and setup period.Responsibilities:Bring year-to-date financials current and reconcile the balance sheet.Improve the monthly close, P&L, and financial reporting process.Build weekly cash-flow reporting and forecasting.Provide hands-on FP&A, budgeting, and performance analysis.Improve visibility into raw materials, inventory, COGS, product costing, and profitability.Oversee reporting across two closely connected business entities.Direct the existing bookkeeper and establish scalable processes and controls.Qualifications:Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or comparable experience.Background within food, beverage, CPG, consumer products, or manufacturing.Strong experience with inventory accounting, raw materials, COGS, product costing, and balance-sheet reconciliation.Experience managing multiple entities or separate sets of books.QuickBooks and ERP, MRP, or inventory-management system experience; Katana is a plus.Collaborative and hands-on, with the ability to provide strategic guidance while working through accounting details.This is an ongoing fractional engagement with the potential for the hours and scope to increase over time.
