Apply via Dice today!Position: Senior Cloud Infrastructure ArchitectJob Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite/Hybrid Model)Preferably Local CandidatesProject Duration: 1+ yearsJob Description:Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect with highly experienced in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS and/or Azure environments.Expertise in cloud architecture, DevOps, automation, and infrastructure engineering, along with prior experience supporting large-scale public sector or regulated environments.Must have 15+ years of overall IT experience with a focus on infrastructure architecture and cloud solutions.Mandatory certification: AWS Solutions Architect Professional / Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).Strong experience designing enterprise-level cloud architecture on AWS and/or Azure.Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, administration, and operations.Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server and/or Linux environments (patching, hardening, vulnerability remediation).At least 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).At least 5+ years of experience in automation scripting using Python, Ruby, or Go.Minimum 5+ years supporting cloud infrastructure operations including monitoring, incident management, and performance tuning.Strong expertise in serverless architecture and cloud-native application design.Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) at scale.Deep understanding of AWS/Azure services such as VPC, IAM, EBS, Virtual Machines, Storage, and Networking.Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms (Hyper-V or similar) including provisioning and lifecycle management.Strong experience in backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions (Veeam or similar tools).Experience in patch management, configuration management, and compliance tools (Tanium or similar).Prior experience working with US State/Federal government clients and strong understanding of secure, scalable, and cost-optimized architecture.
