This position staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in-line with the Company Vision and Values. Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by sales staffPrepares and monitors annual sales budgets concerning anticipated volumes and pricingPrepares annual sales team cost budgets and controls expenses to meet budget guidelinesAdheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics and ensures they are communicated and implemented within the teamProactively communicates and collaborates with other department managers within the division as required and appropriateEducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent preferredRequirements/Qualifications10+ years sales management experience, preferably in the construction materials industryProven leadership and ability to drive sales teamsGood communication, motivation, persuasion and negotiation skillsStrategic thinkingFamiliar with methods to track sales performance and market trendsFamiliar with economic and accounting principles and practicesStrong analytical skillsStrong computer skills with MS Office products, i.e., Excel, Word and PowerPointExperience with formal presentations to executive staff membersTrack record of building successful, trustworthy and loyal relationships with customersPreferredExperience with large ERP system, SAPFamiliarity with the local marketConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
