We offer a full curriculum designed to help emerging designers launch successful capsule collections and fashion businesses.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced fashion industry professional to teach our Business of Fashion course. The ideal candidate has current, real-world experience running or managing a fashion business and can teach students the full scope of launching and sustaining a fashion brand.
Required Skills & Experience:
Candidates must have most or all of the following:
Experience running or managing a small to medium-sized fashion brand.
Knowledge of sourcing and access to relevant supplier/manufacturer resources.
Understanding of wholesale and retail models, including direct to consumer.
Experience with production and manufacturing processes (domestic and/or overseas).
Proficiency in pricing, costing, and margin strategy.
Ability to teach business plan creation and financial planning for fashion brands.
Experience registering and legally structuring a fashion business.
Knowledge of marketing, branding, PR, and social media strategies specific to fashion.
Understanding of sustainability and ethical production in business operations.
Familiarity with fashion technology platforms (e-commerce tools, digital line sheets, inventory systems, etc.).
Strong commitment to student success and mentorship.
Schedule:
Classes are scheduled for Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, beginning in mid Summer 2026. Classes are virtual except for the final critique which takes place in studio.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $32.50 per hour
