Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Plano, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,641 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/18/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Medical Technologist Specialty: Laboratory Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 09:00 - 19:30 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical laboratory training program or equivalent experience License: NCA, ASCP, HEW, or AMT (registry eligible and must obtain within one year of hire) Certifications: Required certifications include NCA, ASCP, HEW, or AMT Description: We are seeking a Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. The position involves a 7 days on, 7 days off work schedule. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field. Experience in a general laboratory setting is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to listen, interact, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The role requires the ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and frequently lift or carry objects weighing 25 lbs. Experience with Meditech and Siemens Vista is preferred but not required. Candidates should show competency in performing testing procedures and effectively using laboratory equipment. Participation in the Quality Control Program is necessary. The Medical Technologist will also assist with laboratory training programs. Attendance and punctuality are essential job functions and will be observed. Patient care and department services must be delivered competently and efficiently. Interpersonal relationships should contribute positively to the operation of the laboratory and facility. Skills should be maintained and enhanced through participation in team activities and continuing education opportunities. The ideal candidate should be responsible, a team player, and accountable. The dress code requires wearing Caribbean Blue scrubs. The position includes rotating weekends and holidays, but there is no on-call requirement. Other duties may be assigned as needed. The candidate should embody compassion and respect for others. Effective communication and the ability to prioritize tasks are critical. The Medical Technologist must work well with others to ensure high-quality patient-centered care. Demonstrating professionalism and taking personal responsibility for job performance is essential.
