As a team, we empower each other to share ideas, believe in our common purpose, and value differing perspectives.Position OverviewEA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC is seeking a senior-level Environmental Engineer or Geologist with strong experience in CERCLA-regulated environmental investigation and remediation to lead and manage complex investigation and cleanup projects.This role is intended for professionals with 8+ years of direct environmental consulting experience, including technical leadership, project management, and client-facing responsibility on CERCLA projects. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working on mining and mining related projects.Candidates without a strong background in environmental investigations, remediation, CERCLA, will not be considered.The ideal candidate has a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee technically rigorous work, and serve as a trusted advisor to public- and private-sector clients. This individual will play a key role in expanding EA’s CERCLA, mining and remediation practices and presence within the Central and Western United States.Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and project management for environmental investigations, remedial designs, and construction projects under CERCLA frameworksLead environmental efforts including:Soil and groundwater remediationEnvironmental investigations including field effortsPotentially responsible party (PRP) oversightApply extensive knowledge of CERCLA regulations and best practicesOversee and mentor multidisciplinary project teams while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standardsPromote and model a strong safety culture across all project activitiesPrepare, review, and deliver high-quality technical reports and regulatory submittalsSupport negotiation, dispute resolution, and agency coordination on complex environmental projectsIdentify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparation of technical proposals and scopes of workBuild, maintain, and expand long-term client relationships that generate repeat businessCollaborate with professionals across EA offices to support client needs and strategic initiativesRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, in one of the following:Environmental, Civil, or Chemical EngineeringGeology or Geological EngineeringEnvironmental Science or a closely related fieldDemonstrated, hands-on experience with CERCLA projects is requiredExperience managing large, complex environmental remediation projects from investigation through implementationStrong client-facing skills, including business development and proposal supportProven ability to maintain long-term client relationshipsAbility to travel 1–2 times per month, with trips typically lasting 1–3 daysWho This Role Is ForThis position is a strong fit if you have:Spent a significant portion of your career working on CERCLA regulated sitesLed or overseen environmental investigations, remedial actions, or construction-phase remediationWorked in environmental consulting, regulatory compliance, or remediation program deliveryHave experience working on Superfund sitesHave experience working on Department of Defense [NJ1.1] sitesHave experience working in mining and mining related sitesThis role is not intended for candidates whose background is primarily in:General civil, structural, or facilities engineeringConstruction management without environmental remediation oversightProject management roles outside environmental consultingNote: This position requires specific driving duties.
