This position is a key player in the delivery of projects within the Asset Management Department. The position involves installation of traffic control equipment and systems to assist with the coordination of traffic. While the position is primarily to manage the traffic requirements within the construction projectsthere will be times traffic management will be required for other duties as directed.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToUndertake traffic management requirements as directed by the Team Leader or Traffic Control Supervisor.Able to work in a team environment.The ability to understand and install traffic management equipment as per set plans.Ensuring the approved traffic control measures are implemented and maintained in accordance with the approved plans.Keep records of the traffic controlled projects as per legislative requirements.Maintain and undertake stock take of traffic management equipment.Ensure the safety of yourself, fellow workers, motorists and other road users at the worksite.Undertake other duties as required.This is a full time position, working 99 hours per fortnight.About YouIn order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:Hold and maintain Basic Worksite Traffic Management Accreditation (BWTM) accreditationDemonstrated experience in a similar role in Traffic Control.Good time management.Willing to work remotely or travel.Good communications and two-way etiquette.White Card – Construction Safety Awareness Training Card.Ability to read plans and problem solve.Class ‘C’ Licence.BenefitsSalary: $83,245.60 per annum including overtime.Permanent Staff Are Entitled To5 weeks annual leave per year Minimum of 12% superannuation employer contributionSuperannuation co-contribution offered to a maximum of 5%Free access to the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre (pool & gym)Access to career development opportunitiesUniform allowanceFlexible work arrangementsEmployee wellness initiatives including Employee Assistance Program, skin checks and flu vaccinationsApplications close on 7 June 2026 at 6:00pm.Applications must be made via the Shire of Esperance online recruitment portal by clicking the APPLY button below and include a current Resume, a Cover Letter and statements addressing the Selection Criteria.Further details are available in the Position Description, found on the recruitment portal, or contact Human Resources on 08 9071 0638.Early submissions are encouraged as applications will be reviewed prior to the closing date and as such, the closing date is subject to change without notice.
