Data Engineer

Responsible for administering and maintaining SQL databases. Also responsible for database development efforts across all teams.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Maintain and administer new database installations, tune existing database queries and manage existing databases to maintain performance levels.Support IS Management by providing technical leadership and mentoring according to direction of supervisor.Work with team of I.S. personnel including Business Analysts, QA Analysts, Architects and Management to determine specific data requirements.Perform detailed program design, flow-charting, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Document program and technical procedures to insure integrity and accuracy of information.QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience (Must meet at least two of the following criteria):A Bachelor’s degreeA minimum of 6 years of working experience in I.S. or related fieldPossess five or more approved certifications within job area.Excellent computer skills, analytical/problem solving skills and communication skillsStrong working knowledge of database architecture and Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS.Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independentlyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple prioritiesAbility to work in a team environmentMotivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and customer-focusedMust have tact and diplomacy in maintaining cooperative relationshipsDetailed oriented and possess a desire for quality#6188
