Alumni excel throughout all areas of fashion and lifestyle and have gone on to work for companies such as Chanel, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Ross Stores, The Financial Times, Ulta Beauty, Google, Saks Fifth Avenue, Cannabis Creative, and The National Football League.POSITION PURPOSE: The Online Admissions Counselor is a hybrid position that consists of assisting the admissions team in recruiting new students, executing prospect management and application management, maintaining an organized office and counseling prospective students to obtain enrollments. In addition, works with and through the Associate Director of Online Admissions in all areas deemed pertinent.SALARY RANGE: $66,300/AnnuallyESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:Call, text, and email prospective students according to prescribed workflow and follow up schedule. The Online Admissions Counselor could expect to make up to 100 calls a day and talk to students for up to 5 hours a day.Schedule appointments with prospective students to educate them on LIM College and identify a potential fit.Walk students through the application process and provide support as needed.Review student application materialsConduct interviews with prospective and current students (and their parents, if necessary) for LIM CollegePrioritize workload to maximize results and surpass individual, team, department, and LIM College expectations and goalsPossess the ability to work a flexible schedule (late nights, weekends, and extended hours), especially during peak enrollment seasons as online classes start about every eight weeksMaintain current relationships with students throughout the enrollment process, while focusing on building new relationshipsBehave as a college ambassador and embracing our unique online educational model, while maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and customer serviceConduct online recruitment events including but not limited to open houses webinars, virtual events and monitor chat sessionsWork closely with Admissions Operations to maintain recordsWork with MarketingSpeak to interested individuals at the Associates, Bachelors, and master's levelsWork with Online Advisor to ensure a seamless process from application to enrollmentWork as a team member and assist co-workers in the Online Admissions department and other LIM College departmentsSubmit daily contact reports to supervisorsMaintain knowledge of and adhere to LIM College policies and proceduresWork together with team to achieve individual and group enrollment goalsPerform all other duties as assignedPERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:Accomplishment of stated yearly goals.Documents and reports are delivered on time, accurately produced and up-to-date, and files are well-maintained.Effective communication and coordination exist with all department heads. A professional image is projected and maintained.Implementation of best practices where appropriate.REQUIREMENTS: The person selected will have the following qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree requiredRequired Knowledge:Experience working with people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Proficient in Basic Computer Skills, Microsoft Office, Outlook/Email. Prior online post-secondary education experience a plus. Experience Required:Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to have conversations with people over the telephone and via email about their needs. Ability to be on the phone most of the day. Skills/Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead training sessions and guide colleagues without formal supervisory authority. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to translate complex information into clear, practical guidance for students, staff, and faculty. Comfort working cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders. Ability to balance direct student support with strategic training and alignment responsibilities.
